This type of visa allows the foreigner to enter into a contractual labor relationship in Brazil for the performance of specialized activities. In order to meet the legal requirements, the foreigner must produce evidence of his/her academic background and previous experience.

The labor agreement will have a maximum duration of 2 (two) years, which may be extended. All of the foreign documents must be legalized (duly notarized before the Consulate) at the Brazilian Consulate of the country where the documents are.

A work visa is not a business visa.

Professionals holding a business visa have no permission to work in Brazil. Nonetheless, they are allowed to attend business events, meetings and seminars.
